Deep Learning Company

One of the companies at the forefront of Deep Learning research in Tokyo.

This company has a heavy focus on allowing their Research Scientists and Engineers the freedom to work autonomously and continue publishing in journals and speaking at international conferences. Current areas of focus include Natural Language Understanding, Document Recognition and Deep Learning for the Finance Industry. Well-funded, and with established revenue streams, this company is an industry leader which places true value on innovative research.

A truly innovative autonomous driving company creating an Artificial General Robotics Intelligence.

This company is using Reinforcement learning and GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) to train an autonomous driving AI which will not only be able to control cars, trucks and buses but also drones, boats, submarines, moon rovers and robotic arms. Extensive redundancies mean that even if all sensors bar a single camera fails, the vehicle will be able to function (or stop) safely. Partnered with some major auto manufacturers and with high-profile board members, this company will be a game-changer for autonomous driving.

Research Scientists

Scientists work on the theoretical side of Machine Learning and are linked to a Research Engineer in a 1-to-1 ratio. A Scientist will hold a PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Machine Learning or Computer Science. You will have a strong publication record and proficiency in Python, C/C++ or Lua. Excellent English language communication skills are required.

Research Engineers

Research Engineers are Machine-Learning-Specific Engineers who work very closely with Scientists to actually build prototypes and move them into production. Excellent programming skills are a must, and machine learning knowledge is desirable but not essential. On top of university qualifications in Maths, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar, you will have strong Python skills and mastery of one statically-types programming language such as C/C++. Again, this is an English-speaking role.
